June 2017 --- Two Protoplanets had the honour to present our newest production „Trial & Error“ in the Grand Competition as well as in the Children´s Competition at the Animafest Zagreb 2017. If you like to know more about it, you canread it here.

May 2017 --- Whooohooo! "Trial & Error" has won the backup.award, the main prize of the 19th edition of this years´ backup_festival Weimar! "Within only five minutes the film handles to tell a wonderfully beautiful story", so the statement of the jury.

May 2017 --- After having presented "Pawo" in Wrocław (Poland) back in 2015, we are stoked that WRO Media Art Biennale asked us to curate their Sunday Matinee screening for children this year! Alexander will be there and, together with our very own "Trial & Error", present seven handpicked short animations going by the theme "Solving Problems can be fun".

February 2017 --- Protoplanet Studio was honored to create some cool stickers for the The Eggplant Collective Stickermag. The Eggplant Collective was born in Berlin in an explosion of creativity that was the first Pictoplasma Academy. A group of illustrators, animators, sculpture artists, doodlers and doers all brought together by their mutual love for character design. Since the Academy, The Eggplant Collective has participated in the Pictoplasma 10th Anniversary Festival in Berlin with the Academy All Stars show, hijacked the 2015 Pictoplasma Festival for their first self-initiated group show and participated in the 2015/16 ‘Memory’ exhibition in Bern (CH).

January 2017 --- Wow, we´re blushing over here! – Not only do the people of the New York Int'l Children's Film Festival (NYICFF) like to have PAWO in their trailer, but the NYICFF design team also felt that PAWO "was the strongest design by far to represent the 20th anniversary of the festival", and came up with this tote bag design. Aaaaaand – that´s not all. Some of the PAWO characters also made it onto the festival t-shirt! 2017! We´re excited already how it will look in reality. Is this cool or what?

November 2016 --- In Seoul the "AISFF ROCK AWARD« went to »Trial & Error« at the renowned 14th Asiana Film Festival in Seoul, South Korea. We are very pleased to hear that our newest animated short film, TRIAL & ERROR, has been selected as the AISFF Rock Award winner of the international competition section. "It is the prize given to the film with most outstanding style and perspective."

November 2016 --- Yippie! In Sweden "Trial & Error" has won the iFestival Award at the 27th edition Stockholm International Film Festival.
"In the 5-minute film, that debuted at Dresden’s film festival, delightfully funny elements and tender side notes blend into a heartfelt storyline. Adding to the finely drawn characters and quirky wit of the story is the delightfully quirky British accent of narrator Alexis Krüger"

October 2016 --- We conducted an Animation Workshop for 12 kids ages 8-12 at dfb e.V. Bergen/Island of Rügen, which was really fun and also exhausting, but worth the effort ;) The kids learned a lot about the history of animation, storytelling and became familiar with different techniques and principles. They created a few Stop Motion shorts by themselves using Whiteboard-, Cut Out and Clay-Animation techniques. At the end we all did a funny Pixilation film.
